let's try cooking..

Few days ago, i just bought a new steamer, Steam It, a product from Tupperware..

There are a lot of benefits of steaming. Steaming uses a convenction of indirect moist heat. Food is not exposed directly to the dry intense heat associated with other methods of cooking. So, as a result, the food is tender, moist and retains the original flavour of the ingredient..It is also more nutritious compare other methods of cooking..

I just cooked Steamed Tom Yam Chicken by using my new steamer..so why don't you try it also..

Ingredients

3 pieces chicken drumsticks, deboned
16 asparagus, sliced at a slant
2 tablespoon oil

(A)
1 stalk lemon grass, sliced
3 slices galangal
2 kaffir lime leaves, finely shredded

(B) Marinade
1 tablespoon Tom Yam sauce
1 tablespoon chilli paste
1 tablespoon dried prawns, pounded finely
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice

Method:

1. Cut deboned chicken meat into cubes
2. Heat oil in fryer and saute combined marinade (B) until fragrant. Add ingredients (A) and fry for a while. Dish out and combine with chicken meat.
3. Transfer prepared chicken onto a porcelain plate. Add asparagus. Place the plate in steamer
4. Steam over medium high heat for 15-20 minutes or until chicken is cooked.

So simple right..Hope you happy try it! :))))

*i'll upload the photo later..
